The Powerful Homes grant program is offered through the Powerful Homes Foundation.  It is open to essential service professionals who have worked in their profession for 2 or more years.  These professionals are looking to buy a home and have been pre-approved for a loan by a lender. Our real estate team will assist you in the pre-qualification process.

As a Powerful Homes grant participant, you may be eligible to receive the following benefits:

• Housing Literacy Education Program
• Designated coaching programs and real estate support both before and after the purchase of your home
• Grant to help assist in securing the financing necessary to purchase your home
• 2-year home warranty
• Assistance for home furnishings and moving expenses
• Annual home appraisal for three years

Powerful Homes is always accepting applicants to participant in our home buying grant program.  We encourage all interested home buyers to complete the grant application online in order to schedule a one-on-one meeting with a Powerful Homes advisor to determine the best start date for you specific situation. 

• Time commitment: The entire program is aself-paced, so you can complete it on a timeline that works for you.   
• Approximately 30 days to complete the housing education and mindset curriculum
• Approximately 30-60 days to purchase a home
• Financial commitment:  Total costs will vary depending on the cost of the home. Participants will need 1-3% of the cost for a down payment (significantly less than the 10-20% typically required for housing down payments). 
• Purchasing commitment: There is no “official” date for a participant to purchase a home.  As a program participant, we only ask that you sign a non-binding "good faith" contract that states when you are ready to purchase a home, a Powerful Homes Designated Agent will represent you. 
• Journey of Our Powerful Homes participants: 
  

  Participation in the Powerful Homes program means receiving support throughout the process. Part of that support involves talking with you at several points along the way so that we can be sure to understand your needs. After enrolling in the program, one of our team members will schedule a time to meet with you to learn more about experiences you have had that make you the person you are today. You will have a similar conversation at the very end of your participation in the Powerful Homes program, which will allow us to learn how your life has changed through the opportunities offered by Powerful Homes.  A team member will also check in periodically throughout your involvement with the program in order to understand how you are experiencing it and determine if there are ways we can serve you better.   

• The Powerful Homes program is an online, self-paced housing education course.
• Resources are provided to make sure you have the tools and knowledge necessary to move forward with the home purchasing process.

A Powerful Home Program participant’s journey does not end with the purchase of a home. In fact, it is just beginning!  Our goal is to ensure that our programs are long-lasting and impactful well beyond your first home and that your equity continues to grow.
